A Celebration of British Wool at Blenheim
There are few settings more fitting for a celebration of British wool than the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
This year, The British Boot Sock Company joined the Agria Blenheim Horse Trials, bringing our collection of 100% British wool boot socks to one of the most anticipated events in the British equestrian calendar.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Blenheim Palace, the four-day event welcomed riders and spectators from around the world, with world-class competition spanning Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping.
And, of course, there was plenty to discover away from the arena.

British wool, countryside style
The shopping avenues at Blenheim bring together some of the most recognisable names in British country and equestrian fashion, making it the perfect setting to introduce visitors to The British Boot Sock Company.
Alongside our collection of 100% British wool boot socks was a familiar face: Jem the Sheep, who quickly became part of the occasion.
Events such as Blenheim offer something that online retail simply can't replicate. They give us the chance to meet our customers face-to-face, hear their thoughts and discover which colours, styles and designs catch their eye.
It was particularly encouraging to see such a positive response to our latest British wool Wellington boot socks. Designed for life in the countryside, the new collection combines the natural performance of British wool with distinctive colour detailing and heritage-inspired styling.
Fortunately, the weather was kind to us throughout much of the event, meaning plenty of visitors had the opportunity to see, feel and try the socks for themselves.

The best way to wear wool
Of course, when you're surrounded by so many colours, choosing just one pair can be difficult.
Scott decided to take a slightly more creative approach, combining different styles to create his own look. It certainly attracted attention — and proved that even a traditional wool sock can have a little fun with country style.

Supporting British wool
Perhaps the most valuable part of events such as Blenheim is the opportunity to speak directly with people connected to the British wool industry.
During the event, we met a number of sheep farmers who shared their experiences of the challenges currently facing the industry. There is still plenty of work to do, but the growing interest in British wool and natural fibres offers genuine reasons for optimism.
For us, choosing British wool is about more than simply making a warm, hard-wearing sock. Wool is a natural fibre with a long history in British agriculture, and a well-made wool product can be enjoyed season after season rather than being treated as something disposable.
That is why we believe choosing quality, natural materials has an important role to play in building a more considered approach to what we wear.

Thank you, Blenheim
To everyone who visited The British Boot Sock Company at this year's Agria Blenheim Horse Trials, thank you.
Whether you stopped to chat about British wool, discovered the collection for the first time, picked up a pair of boot socks or simply came over to say hello to Jem, it was a pleasure to meet you.
Blenheim was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate British wool, British countryside style and the people who help keep both traditions alive.
We look forward to returning to the countryside and seeing many of you again at future events.
